Server Racks Online's Rack Configurator makes building your rack as easy as 1 Select SRO server rack frame, 2 Select SRO server rack shelves & accessories, 3 Click & Order SRO server rack

1 Select SRO server rack frame
This step will walk you though choosing the height, depth, and width of your rack.

Rack Height
42U (42 Rack Units) is the most common rack height sold for data centers.  As many more 42U Racks are manufactured then any other rack height, they usually have far less production cost and therefore a more competitive street price.  Depending on your application, requirements, and space limitations, a more specialized rack height may be best for your needs.  After selecting your optimal rack height, you will see a chart will all our manufacturers racks with that height requirement.  On that page you can compare depth, width, type of rails, and if express configuration is available.

Rack Depth
In selecting your rack depth you will need to know the dimensions of the equipment you will be rack mounting in this rack.  In calculating your rack depth, please be sure to allow a few inches to allow for cable management and power cords.

Rack Width
Most rack mountable servers and network equipment are built to be mounted on 19" EIA rails.  Due to this fact the term 19" racks is popular used for server racks / network equipment racks.  Some legacy equipment, server towers, and accessories, may require placement on a rack mount shelf.    Depending on the rack manufacturer, most racks with 19" rails have a width of 23" to 25".  Wider racks of 27" to 29" inches are available for wider equipment, side mounting, rack power strip and cable management.

2 Select SRO server rack shelves & accessories.
In this step you will have the option to configure your racks.  Most of our racks allow you to select the type of front door (Plexiglas, perforated, etc), rear door and side panels (solid or perforated).  Almost all will allow you to choose rackmount accessories including shelves, power strips, and cable management.

3 Click & Order SRO server rack
After you have completed configuring the ideal rack for your requirements, you can easily see your price and have the option to order.

Express Build Programs
Some of our manufactures offer express configuration and build programs including
1-Day Express Program and a 3-Day Express Program. In this short time they are able to assemble and configure the rack to your specifications.

Which is the best Rack for me?
Comparing racks can be a daunting task.  Even comparing racks with similar dimensions can be like comparing apples to oranges.  In addition to your dimensions requirements, please also take into consideration the rack's cooling capabilities and cooling options, compatibility, load capacity, cable management options, rack accessories, rail mounting, and overall rack expandability.  For additional help, please contact our expert sales engineers at 1-866-722-5776.
